Psychological Functional Capacity Assessments
FCA Reports for Adults and Children
At Functional Psychology, we provide comprehensive psychological functional assessments for children, adolescents, and adults to evaluate everyday functioning across key areas of life. These assessments are often used for NDIS access, plan reassessments, or to review the effectiveness of current supports.
Each assessment explores how an individual’s mental health, neurodevelopmental profile, and cognitive skills impact their capacity for daily living, learning, and participation. Assessments are adapted to suit the person’s age, developmental stage, and communication style, ensuring an accurate and person-centred understanding of functional strengths and challenges.
Each assessment typically includes:
• A structured clinical interview exploring developmental history, mental health, daily routines, strengths, and goals
• Review of reports and collateral information from families, support workers, educators, and health professionals
• Use of standardised psychometric tools and adaptive behaviour measures assessing domains such as communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, learning, cognition, and independent living skills
• A detailed, NDIS-aligned report outlining functional limitations, support requirements, and practical recommendations
Our assessments are trauma-informed, respectful, and evidence-based, ensuring that findings reflect both the complexity and individuality of each person’s lived experience.
Build it.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
